Kg organically reared veal lot that includes (aprox wheight):
0,5 kg entrecot
- 2,9 kg steak
- 0,65 kg minced meat (ground beef)
- 0,9 kg barbecue meat
- 0,4 kg escalope and rond de gîte
All pieces go cut and filleted, prepared to cook. Packed in rations of 3-4 pieces in each bag. This way veal may be used little by little in a perfect packaging for cooking.
reared veal is provided by Cal Tomàs, a familiar business that
has been dedicated to cattle raising for four generations. Lately, they
have specialized in production of organically reared veal.
rear is based on quality fodders, free of hormones and antibiotics so
veals can grow in a balanced way.
Cal Tomàs products are certified by the Consell Català de la Producció Agrària Ecològica (CCPAE), (Catalan Council Of Organic AgriculturalProduction) fulfilling European rules (CEE Regulation 2092/91), that rules production, labels and control systems for this kind of products.
summer, cows graze in the mountain of Montsó and in natural reserve
of Boumort; in winter, they graze in the meadows of the valley and in
La Pobla de Segur.
The main difference between organic meat and the conventional one is the well-being and the feeding of the animals. Organically reared cows are fed exclusively with grass, ecological grass without chemical fertilizers.
Lots are shipped in cold transport. Each bag is labelled following European Regulation, showing date of packaging, due date, kind of meat, etc.
Veal is delivered to the customer in perfect fresh conditions since veals are slaughtered on demand. This delays the delivery of the order about 20 days.
