Easy combination made of pasta and sofregit but with a slight difference to Noodles with meat: pasta is boiled alone . Macaroni are simply mixed at the end.
This is one of the most appreciated meals by children and that's why most of schools have this meal in their weekly menu.
The catalan word macarrons (macaroni) comes from: Version 1) Middle-Ages word alatria, coming from the arabic word atrinya; Version 2) From the arabic word maqrun which means 'to have several tips'.
Macaroni appear in catalan literature since XIII century. As an example, Arnau de Vilanova (València 1235-1313) quoted it in his texts.

macaroni, minced pork meat, onions, tomatoes, salt and pepper, minced cheese and olive oil.
